#StudySaturday- Organization

This is another #StudySaturday that I;m going to share with you guys! I will keep reposting them here until school starts, as a part of #TASHToSchool2017. Today we are focusing on keeping the workspace clean. Enjoy!

The Lifestyle Of An Awkward Teen Almost Genius

Ugh. Raise your hand if you can never keep your desk, locker, binder or workspace clean and organized. Just about every teenager should be raising their hand. Keeping your desk clean is a real struggle. Today, I’m going to help with that.

Binder

To keep your binder organized, put in a five set of tabs labeled ‘notes’, ‘assignments’, ‘handouts’, ‘assessments/tests’ and ‘other’. This way, pages are easier to find.

Try not to keep any loose papers. Put them in a folder or separate binder. If you have too many loose papers, it can overwhelm you.

Keep all your notes in chronological order. They’ll be easier to find that way. And the easier they are to find, the less pissed off you’ll be trying to find them.

Locker

To keep your locker organized, I would use some organizers, like folding shelves and magazine holders.

Make sure that everything has a place, and everything…

#StudySaturday: The Simple Stuff

On my lifestyle blog, the very first #Study/Saturday was simple tips that work. I thought I;d share them here with you guys, because I know how hard studying is, and we really don’t want to do it, but we need to and i think that these tips really will make it easier.

The Lifestyle Of An Awkward Teen Almost Genius

For the first #StudySaturday, we will cover the more simple stuff. Like tips that actually work for most people. Hopefully, I can get us through the school year!

This is a series that will cover all sorts of helpful study tips and hacks for the school year.

Tip 1- Schedule Your Time

Schedule your time. It allows you to keep on track and divide your time accordingly, that way you can take appropriately sized breaks. For my schedule, I have half an hour to finish homework, then a half hour break, followed by an hour of any studying that needs to be done, broken up in the middle by an episode of BTV, or as they are more commonly called, the Billy Talent Vlogs. If you divide your time and take structured break, you are less likely to overload your brain.

Tip 2- Comfy Clothes

Wear clothes that you are…

More notebooks! Simply had too many that I needed to make another post just devoted to notebooks! I do hope that you guys like the last one. If anything looked different, that’s because I was typing on my tablet, and probably will be for a little longer. Maybe a week. Enough talk. I like to keep my introductions short.

The Only Step. Go to happilyhope.WordPress.com and print of one of her binder cover printables. Glue down and rim in duct take for a smooth finish.

2. Song Lyric Notebook

You will need a notebook, some lace or other material that is similar, cardstock paper and some sort of label.

Step One. Cover the notebook with your cardstock paper and use the material chosen above to section it off. Believe it or not, I used a drawer liner, and it worked just fine.

Step Two. Write the song lyrics in the gaps. You can write the lyrics to just one song, songs by one artist or collage a bunch of songs that you like or lyrics that you like.

image

3. Sunset Quote Notebook
You will need paint inthe colors of through sunset and ocean and a notebook.

Step One. Paintthe notebook in an ombre over the top two thirds. Once that is dry, paint the ‘ocean’ with blue. Wait for it to dry, then paint on the wave crests in white.

Step Two. Once the entire notebook is 100 percent dry, write on some smart aleck quite in black Sharpe and draw some details to enhance. Because I was painting my sketchbook I wrote ‘Art does not have match your sofa’, a Suzy Toronto quote. Seal with anything you have to seal it with to finish.

Thanks for reading my blog. As usual, you can show your support by following my blog and liking my posts. I hope you enjoyed these notebooks, and also my last set, DIY Tumblr Notebooks 2017.  Hopefully next week I’ll have a full BTS post up, and some more summery stuffs well, because the summer aint over yet. Post soon,

Use over time for: anxiety
Anxiety can really get in the way, more often than not. It gets in the way at school, mostly. I suffer from it. A lot of people do. These are some tips that are a blend of what works for me and what has been recommended by the lovely jessiepaege on YouTube. I really do hope these tips help, so why don’t we get started.

Tip #1: Find Your Support Group
Everybody needs a life support group. This group should be people you can talk to and feel comfortable talking to about whatever is bothering you.
Tip #2: Don’t Attach Food to Emotion
If you attach food to emotion, it changes your eating habits for the worse. You can either overeat or undereat, and neither are good for you. You need to eat normally.
Tip #3: Music
Make a playlist to listen to when things become to much. Here are some of the songs I use:
Songs That Make Me Want To Dance
Diamond On A Landmine- Billy Talent
Louder Than The DJ- Billy Talent
I Want Out- Young Guns
Dracula- Bea Miller
Empowering Songs
Like That- Bea Miller
Wild Things- Alessia Cara
Young Blood- Bea Miller
Sad Songs
Nothing To Lose- Billy Talent
When We Were Young- Adele
Cure For The Enemy- Billy Talent
Too Late To Say Goodbye- Cage The Elephant
Tip #4: Distractions
Have something to take your mind off of whatever is bugging you. If they aren’t banned, fidget spinners work great. If you don’t have a spinner, or can’t bring one, wear a hairtie on your wrist and mess around with it. It takes your mind off of what is bugging you.
Tip #5: Journal
Keep a journal to just write down whatever is bugging you so that you can talk about whatever is bugging you later. It works, trust me.
Follow my blog if you don’t want to miss anymore of #TASHToSchool2017 and think that is should do more posts like this. It really supports me, so it is appreciated. I hope that this helps some of you, and that you enjoy reading some of my other posts. Talk soon!

Fangirl Your Way Through School! #TASHToSchool2017!

Fangirls. You know who you are.

fan·girl
ˈfanɡərl/
informal
noun
noun: fangirl; plural noun: fangirls; noun: fan-girl; plural noun: fan-girls
  1. 1.
a female fan, especially one who is obsessive about comics, movies, music, or science fiction.
verb
verb: fangirl; past tense: fangirled; gerund or present participle: fangirling; past participle: fangirled; 3rd person present: fangirls
  1. 1.
(of a female fan) behave in an obsessive or overexcited way.
“I’m still fangirling over this casting”

Yes, you reading this. You also know that school is the worst place for a fangirl to spend six hours a day. Also, sorry if I’m annoying you by starting my back to school series too soon. Hermione Chantal, LaurDIY and jessiepaege already started theirs, so I didn’t want to be too far behind. There will still be a lot of summer stuff, so don’t worry. Today, I;m going to tell you how to be a fangirl, even though you;re at school. I’m going to help you make it through.

Tip 1: Your Locker

Your locker is your space for your stuff. You go to it often enough in a day, so put up some fandom stuff. I;m definitely doing a locker DIYs post, so I can give you a few ideas on what to do. Nobody else will see what’s in your locker. Only you know. It’s your locker door, so decorate it with Gryffindor magnets and band trash. If it can get you through the year, it’s definitely worth it.

Tip 2: Bracelets

This one I know works. I;ve done it so many times. Take a word from your fandom or if it’s a band, you can use the last names of the members or the last name of celebrity crush. Just pick a name or a word. But some letter beads and spell out the word you want, then simply make the bracelet. Wear it to school, and when things get tough, just look at it and allow it to give you some hope. I have one for each member of Billy Talent with the exception of Jordan because i ran out of beads.

Tip 3: Notebooks

If you need notebooks for school, put some fandom stuff on the front. A favorite meme, album cover, picture of your fictional or celebrity crush, text post. Just something. I have one that is simply all Billy Talent lyrics and one that is various song lyrics by different artists and one that is all album covers.

Tip 4: Try Not to be Too Obsessive

Please. We read ‘The Outsiders’ last year and I really took the fangirling too far. When somebody insulted either the book or Dallas Winston, i went all defensive fangirl and it made me look crazy. try to avoid that. You don’t want to look like an obsessive freak. Trust me. It’s okay to correct them, but don’t go too far.

Tip 5: Don’t Let Fangirling Get in the way of Schoolwork

Schoolwork is way more important than fangirling, so as much as I hate to admit it, you need to pay attention in class instead of fangirling over bands and books and cute fictional guys. Unfortunately. If you think that you are getting too obsessive, bury your fangirl stuff inside your bag or pencilcase so that it is out of sight and out of mind. Once this happens, you can focus.

Tip 6: Little Things

Keep some little things in your bag for when things get tough. Use the lyric book from your favorite album. Make a keychain. It’s just something that can brighten your day. It can be as simple as an ad for a movie cut out of the newspaper. I have one for the ‘Outsiders’. It works.

Thank you so much for reading my blog. Remember to like this post, not just emotionally (I pulled that one straight from JENeratonDIY’s videos!) and follow my blog so that you don;t miss anything and that really supports me, so it encourages me to keep going. Try to survive school. Stay Gold! (Outsiders reference!)
