Neat BTS Supplies for that ‘Doomsday’ That We Can’t Stop! (and the end of #TASHToSchool2017)

Hello! DOOMSDAY IS COMING!! Just joking. It’s only school. Then again, I’m going to go along calling that doomsday. But there is nothing we can do. At all. So I guess that’s that.

Guilty Party airs the first episode on YouTube tomorrow! Who else is going to be watching it? Let me know what character you guys are most looking forward to. I think JR is going to be kind of funny, and I think Charlie is going to end up being my favorite because she reminds me a little of myself.

Anyone see Taylor Swift’s new Look What You Made Me Do music video? She totally dissed the past versions of herself! I think she’s going all Selena Gomez on us, and I like the direction her Reputation album is going.

Anyways, let’s go into the DIYs before I talk you guys to death.

IMG_2078.JPG

  1. Watermelon Binder

You will need a binder or notebook, paint and a piece of white paper

Step One. Paint a streak of green down the side of your white paper. Yo don’t need to worry about getting it perfect, because it will still look cute even if it’s not perfect. Leaving a white space, use some pale pink paint for the rest to be the edible part of the watermelon. Let it dry

Step Two. Use a black marker or paint pen to draw on the seeds. Glue to your notebook or binder to finish. I rimmed mine in duct tape just to make it look more polished.

IMG_2079

2. Tumblr Disney Emoji Dividers

You will need four printouts of a Tumblr background, five Mickey Mouse emojis and five pixel speech bubbles reading whatever is going in each tab.

This one is really simple, yet so freaking adorable.

The Only Step. Print off your Tumblr backgrounds. Cut out the emojis and glue one to the side of each page so that they look like dividers. It’s kind of hard to explain, but Jess Herz did Pokemon dividers in one of her Fandom School Supplies videos. A ot of YouTubers have actually done the emoji dividers, so there’s bound to be someone who explains it better than me. Glue the labels to the tabs and then you want to hole ouch the pages and insert them into a binder.

TIP- To save both paper and printer ink, you can use scrapbook paper from Micheal’s or some other craft store.

IMG_2080

3. Eyes Binder/Notebook

All credit goes to Sea Lemon on YouTube.

You will need watercolors and paper. Also a binder or notebook.

The Only Step. Paint different types of eyes on your paper. some are open, some are closed.Use variety. Once you’re happy, let dry and add some diagonal stripes in the background. Glue to the binder or notebook to finish.

IMG_2082

4. Stylish Pencils- Three Types

You will need pencils and acrylic paint. Also some cute quotes for the pencils.

Example One-Solid Color

Paint your pencil the selected color. It may take a few coats for it to look the way you want it to. Once it is dry, top it off with a fandom or just generally cute quote. I mat one that said ‘can we taco’, one that said ‘you’re unstoppable’ and a sharpie with some lyrics to Dollhouse, but the pink one shown above is one of my favorites.

It has a Ben Kowalewicz quote that reads ‘the teapot code’, which comes from the MTV ‘Diary Of Billy Talent’ special, when they were in London and his girlfriend made him go looking for a teapot set for some of their friends who were getting married, and he couldn’t find it, so he made a joke about it to the camera guy, and said ‘[bleep] the Da Vinci Code, It’s the Teapot Code!’

Example Two- Ombre

You will also need a metallic marker

For the ombre pencil, first paint it a base color. I found that black works the best. Then, take  a metallic marker and just color a streak that covers the top third of the pencil. Then, if you want to, you can top it off with a short quote or a word. I wrote ‘Muggles’ because why not!

Example Three- Paint Drip

Paint your pencil a base color. Cover the eraser area with some tape. Then, you’ll want to open your bottle of paint and dip the top third of your pencil in the paint. Pull out and place upright in a cup. Allow the paint to drop.  Once dry, you can either leave it like that, or add a quote. I added the quote, ‘Goodbye Ghost’, said once by the amazing Ben Kowalewicz.

IMG_2081.JPG

5. Holographic Collage Binder

You will need tinfoil and magazines. Of course, if you have holographic paper, it will probably work better. And a binder or notebook would help.

Step One. Cut your tinfoil or holographic material to a size that will fit on your notebook or binder. Then cut out some hexagons from the magazines. I also cut out some other shapes. I have a few diamonds and some close cut shapes.

Step Two. Glue to the page in any sort of way that you are pleased with. Cut off the excess and apply to the notebook or binder.

IMG_2083

6.(Fake) Designer Pencilcase

You will need a Ziploc bag, a patterned piece of paper, song lyrics and duct tape.

Step One. Cut your Ziploc back to the size that you need. Cut out your pattern and glue i the middle. I did one pencilcase rimming it in duct tape first, and it looked a little more polished, but it looks polished either way, so I don’t think it matters that much.

Step Two. Glue your song lyrics in the middle. For the pink pencilcase, I used lyrics from Billy Talent’s ‘Afraid Of Heights’ ad I rimmed the lyrics in pink duct tape, with some blak duct tape running underneath, but for the pizza pencilcase, where I used lyrics from Melanie Martinez’s ‘Mad Hatter’, I gave it a cartoony box feel. Ad your stationary inside  to finish

Bonus Material: First Day Lookbook

Well, it’s supposed to be a lookbook, but i didn’t have a chance to take photos, so i’m just going to explain what I’m going to wear.

I’m going to wear some ripped jeans from Bluenotes, an AC/DC t-shirt, also from Bluenotes and a plaid flannel, from, you guessed it, Bluenotes. To accessorize, I’m simply going to wear a cat ears headband from Ardene and some wedge-heel sandals from Soft-Moc.

I hope that you guys enjoyed this post and that these DIYs will definitely help you guys through school. Remember to like and follow my blog to support me and male sure you don’t miss any other great posts and content from me. For the last time before doomsday,

DIY Tumblr Notebook Designs 2107: #TASHToSchool2017

School is here. We don’t want it to happen, but unfortunately, there is nothing we can do. What we can do, however, is go back in style. Over the next few weeks, I am going to guide you through some DIYs for the Back-to-School season. From notebooks to pencilcases and hacks, I am going to make sure you are ready for whenever you go back to school. Today, I am going to show you some Tumblr inspired notebooks. Are you ready to go back to school in style?

1. Marble Text Binder Cover

Step Two. Print and glue to your notebook or binder. To finish mine, I rimmed it in a modern dogstooth duct tape.

image

2. Album Cover Mini Notebook

You will need album cover printouts and a notebook

The Only Step. Go online and find pictures of all your favorite album covers. Print. Glue to your notebook. Just like with the binder, I rimmed my notebook in duct tape. Tip- For a vintage feel, print the covers in back and white

3. Tumblr Banner and Grid Notebook

You will need a computer and a binder or notebook.

Step One. Search ‘tumlbr grid’ and copy an image into Paint or Photoshop. Then, go on a tumbler banner generator and type whatever your class is. Copy into the same document as the grid and position as you see fit.

Step One. Paint your blank paper in an nombre withthe watercolors. If you don’t have watercolors, simply water down acrylic paint.

Tumblr Room Decor 2017!

I have not done a DIY post in like forever. So here I am. These are just pictures i had lying around, so there is no real professional photo of all the DIYs at the top, sorry. I was really busy and I;m actually leaving for camp in a few hours, so… yeah. How’s life? Who has seen the Singing Trump on America’s Got Talent? You NEED to see it! It is halfway between cringy and freaking hilarious!

IMG_1732

  1. Memo Board

This one is more of a hack than a DIY and was inspired by Katherine Elizabeth on YouTube.

You will need a cooling rack (or a wire locker shelf, like I used)

The Only Step. Hang up the cooling rack. If you are using a wire locker shelf, remove the legs from the shelf and hang it up so that the things jutting out where the legs would be are on the outside to use to hang things up on. Decorate accordingly.

IMG_1812

2. Fangirl Wall Art

You will need the definition of ‘fangirl’, some cardstock or scrapbook paper and decorations for your fandoms. Optional*** Duct Tape***

Step One. Print out the definition of fangirl and glue on to a cute background of either patterned cardstock or scrapbooking paper. ****OPTIONAL****Rim in duct tape

Step Two. Decorate with pictures of your fandom. You can also write some references like lyrics and slogans. Hang on your wall to finish.

IMG_1809 IMG_1810

3. Hanging Pixel Speech Bubbles

You will need pixel speech bubbles and yarn.

Step One. Print and cut out pixel speech bubbles. Flip them over and glue a length of yarn to the back.

Step Two. Tape to your ceiling so that they hang down. You can also tape them to the wall and it will look equally cool.

IMG_1099

4. Summer Canvas

What reminds you of summer more than a watermelon? Exactly.

You will need an old canvas and red white, green and black paint.

Step One. Paint your canvas a base color. Once that dries, add as many coats as it take for it to be opaque.

Step Two. Paint on your lettering. I decided to use the words “# Endless Summer”. After that, paint on the watermelon seeds to finish.

I really hope that you guys enjoyed this DIY post. There will be more on my #TASHToSchool Series soon. I just  need to take pictures. Remember to like and follow to support LittleMissTalent on WordPress. It really helps and motivates me to kep going. Thank you all for reading!

Quick Craft: DIY Summer Polariod Bea Miller Photo Chain

TWO MORE WEEKS OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Was that a little much? Recently I’ve started listening to Bea Miller, and have gotten hooked on her music. Like seriously, it’s really good. My favorite Bea Miller songs are Dracula, Young Blood and Open Your Eyes. While a lot of her music is from 2014, it is really good and i like the messages that Young Blood and Fire N Gold send out. So i’d google these.

In honor of the summer, i wanted to do something with Tumblr photos and thanks to LaurDIY’s Celeb Trends video which cued me to search ‘celeb diys’ on YouTube and The Haute Pink Diary who made the Bea Miller Inspired DIYs video. I wanted to do something with polaroids just because and then i realized that they played a main part in the Fire N Gold music video, so i thought that i’d do something like this. Why don’t i stop talking and let’s start the DIY!

You will need Tumblr summer photos (found online), a polaroid template (also online), tape and black yarn/string.

Step One. Gather your photos. A simple google search can help with that. I googled ‘tumblr summer photos’ and ‘tumblr summer nights’. i also found my polaroid template online and put it with the photos in a Word document. Print the photos and cut them out.

Step Two. Bea Miller song lyrics. I just looked these up on AZ Lyrics and wrote ones that i thought fit with my polaroids. If you know what a polaroid looks like, then you know that the bottom part is bigger than the other three sides. That’s where the lyrics should be written. Cut a long piece of your black thread or yarn that covers the length of the wall you want to hang this up on. Tape your photos the the string/yarn and hang. If you have clothespins, you can also put them up like that, but i didn’t. It kind of takes the Tumblr away from it, but oh well. Taping it up is hard. Try not to let go. It fell on me like 5 times, soooo…..

Thank you guys for reading my blog! Let me know if you guys want me to do more artist/band themed DIYs. I really hope that you guys like Bea  Miller as well. Remember to hit the follow button so that you don’t miss out. Stay Weird/Normal/Human/Gold…. Pick one of the following or whatever suits you because you need to stay true to you.

#LifeHack: Sort of Holographic Hexagon Wall Peices

Hello! Have you guys seen the music video for Alessia Cara’s Stay? It messed me up so much. So, the guy misses the elevator Alessia’s in, and then time just keeps resetting itself until he and Alessia go out, then he dies and everything just resets again. It’s crazy! Anyways, because it’s may and i needed to think (only think, haven’t actually done anything yet!) about spring cleaning. I took down a poster i’ve had for too long, but didn’t have anything to replace it, so i googled “cute Tumblr room decor” and found this. YOu can use holographic paper, i just only had tinfoil on hand.

You will need cardboard, tinfoil (or holographic paper) and *optional* Sharpies to doodle on the hexagons with.

Step One. If you are confident with your freehand skills, sketch out the shape of a hexagon. If not, simply find a template and trace it onto your cardboard. Make as many as you would like and cut them out.

Step Two. Cover each hexagon in tinfoil or holographic paper. If you wish, you can use your Sharpies to put designs on them. I used quotes and obscure references from “Stranger Things”, “The Librarians”, “Harry Potter”  and “The Outsiders”. I also wrote “ok no” and drew stripes on the rest. Tape or sticky tack to your wall to finish.

Thank you so much for reading my blog and following my posts. I am  quickly gaining popularity (i think), but i just do it because i enjoy it. It’s not a job or anything. Just letting you know. Remember to follow my blog so that you don’t miss out on my posts and leave a like if you like my #LifeHack collection! See ya’ll soon! Stay Gold!

PS. Only Outsiders fans will understand that reference at the end. So probably only me. Oh well!

Tumblr E-Reader Case! Under $20!

Hey! During class we’ve been reading The Outsiders by SE Hinton, which is about two rival “gangs”, the Socs and the Greasers. Towards the end though Spoiler Alert!!! it got really sad when Dallas died. I cried so hard that i may have ruined the book… It was, however, a really good and eye-opening book. I recommend it. If you are an emotional person, keep tissues with you. I should have done that.

Anyways… How has life been? It wasn’t until I finished reading The Outsiders and decided to get a copy for my E-Reader that i remembered this was the last DIY i did before vacation. I figured i might as well share it with you guys, so here i am!

You will need a computer printout with Tumblr photography, duct tape, and an E-Reader case that fits your model. This can also be modified for a phone or tablet.

Step One. Google “tumblr photography” and select a picture you like. Goolgeling (?) “tumblr quotes” works too. Open it in a Word document and resize it. If you have PicMonkey, that works as well. Resize a small portion to fit the spine of your case. Print and cut out.

Step Two. Glue all your pictures down. Use your duct tape to frame it out. Insert your device to finish and make final cuts.

Bonus Material

Cord Storage Hack

Storing device cords and having to untangle them is a pain in a certain area. To help (and make them look stylish), you can go to the Dollar Store and buy some glitter hair ties. Tie around your cord to prevent tangles.

Thank you so much for reading my blog! Be sure to like this post and follow my blog just so you know when new posts will come out. If you are interested in reading The Outsiders, you can find free PDFs online or its $10.99 at Chapters. Remember the tissues come the end! Thanks for reading and i will see you again next time!

The DIY: “The Librarians” Ezekiel Jones Bookmark”

As you probably know, I am in LOVE with the Librarians, and Ezekiel Jones in particular. I decided to make a fun tassel bookmark to showcase my love!

You will need cardstock, string (optional for the tassel) a picture of Ezekiel Jones (or other cute fictional character) and pixel speech bubbles that you can make yourself using the link in DIY Tumblr and Instagram Inspired Wall Art.

The speech bubbles should have one saying “I Love You”, one saying “Yeah”  and one saying “Well I Love Ezekiel Jones”, or whatever fictional character you chose.

Step One. Get your speech bubbles together with your photo in a word document. Make sure to save your speech bubbles as a PNG so that they have no background when you layer them on top of your photo like a text message.

Step Two. Glue to cardstock and cut out. ***Optional*** Use a one hole punch to make a spot in the middle for your tassel. Wrap string around your fingers until it is at a suitable size for you. Slide off your hand and tie the top with string. Cut the bottom open so it gives a tassely feel. I just made that a word guys! Use what is left of the string you tied around the top to tie it through the hole.

I hope that you guys enjoyed my post and enjoy my DIY ideas. Special thanks to my International viewers out there who enjoy reading my blog. Please follow my blog using the button on the homepage and remember to recommend Books Crafts and DIYs to yoru friends! Ta for now!

DIY Keychains!

My parents just gave me a set of keys!!! To make sure that I would not lose them (something i did on the very first day I had them), I decided to make some really creative and unique key chains that I knew nobody else would have. I came up with three really creative ideas that worked out really well. So, do you guys want to hear them? I’m going to assume so because you are reading this post.

img_1198

  1. TV Show Keychains

I love to watch TV, don’t you? Like most people, I have favorites. Some of mine include “The Librarians”, “Stranger Things”, “Death in Paradise” and BBC’s “Class”. To save some money and grief (you can’t find things for some shows anywhere!), i decided that i was going to make them myself.

You will need string or a jump ring, cardstock or paperboard, clear tape, patterned duct tape and printouts of TV show logos

Step One. Select some TV show logos and paste them into a Word file. Print

Step Two. Cut out a piece of cardstock or paperboard (the cardboard from cereal boxes) and cover in duct tape. Punch a hole in the top.

Step Three. Tape on your logo. Thread a string or a jump ring through the hole. Attach to your key to finish

img_1199

2. Tumblr Inspired: Pixel Speech Bubble Keychains

I love pixel speech bubbles. They are totally awesome. When i made keycahins, i just had to have some.

You will need pixel speech bubbles with sassy sayings (ex. only Librarians can touch my keys, the sass is strong with this one, excuse me while i fangirl and don’t let anyone tell you your not a Unicorn), clear tape and string

Step One. Print and cut out your speech bubbles. Cut a length of string that you desire.

Step Two. Thread one end of the string through the hole on your key or the jump ring its attached to and then put the two ends on the blank side of the speech bubble. Cover both sides in tape to finish.

img_1200

3. Quote Keychain

I just love inspirational quotes! Everybody does, right? I used a quote from a Fireflight song called “Unbreakable” for this DIY. Forget the fear/its just a crutch/that tried to hold you back and turn your dreams to dust/all you need to do is just/ trust – Fireflight, Unbreakable.

You will need duckling tape (mini duct tape or washi tape), string and a quote printout.

Step One. Cut tou your quote and rim in duct tape. Leave the tape at the top open.

Step Two. Thread one end of the string through the jump ring or hole in the key and connect both ends to the tape. Fold the tape over and cut off the excess

I hope you guys enjoy this DIY and that you will press the follow button on my homepage so that you will be alerted of new posts and won’t miss out! Enjoy life and /i will see you next time on Books Crafts and DIYs!
