School is here. We don’t want it to happen, but unfortunately, there is nothing we can do. What we can do, however, is go back in style. Over the next few weeks, I am going to guide you through some DIYs for the Back-to-School season. From notebooks to pencilcases and hacks, I am going to make sure you are ready for whenever you go back to school. Today, I am going to show you some Tumblr inspired notebooks. Are you ready to go back to school in style?
1. Marble Text Binder Cover
You will need a computer and a binder or notebook
Step One. Google ‘white marble background tumblr’ and copy the image into a photo editing software like Paint or Photoshop. Create black Arial text and create another block of text with the same words directly on top. Change the color to white and position so that it looks like a shadow.
Step Two. Print and glue to your notebook or binder. To finish mine, I rimmed it in a modern dogstooth duct tape.
2. Album Cover Mini Notebook
You will need album cover printouts and a notebook
The Only Step. Go online and find pictures of all your favorite album covers. Print. Glue to your notebook. Just like with the binder, I rimmed my notebook in duct tape. Tip- For a vintage feel, print the covers in back and white
3. Tumblr Banner and Grid Notebook
You will need a computer and a binder or notebook.
Step One. Search ‘tumlbr grid’ and copy an image into Paint or Photoshop. Then, go on a tumbler banner generator and type whatever your class is. Copy into the same document as the grid and position as you see fit.
4. Watercolor Graphic Folder
You will need watercolor paints, a Sharpie, a pocket folder and some duct tape.
Step One. Paint your blank paper in an nombre withthe watercolors. If you don’t have watercolors, simply water down acrylic paint.
Step Two. Once the paint gas dried, draw a Tumblr graphic in the middle. Tumblr PNGs are usually imperfect, so don’t worry about making it look store bought.
Step Three. Glue to the folder and rim in duct tape tosecure.
